Strabag only uses its remaining operational roundnoses for its twice weekly ballast trains between Haldensleben and Leer. Some are rented to other companies for infrastructure trains.
The current locations (status of 22 July 2010) of the ten Strabag Rail GmbH (D) owned V170 Nohabs in Germany:
V170 1125 (ex-DSB MY 1125; NoHAB 2366/1957, REV 12-12-1998) has a Santa Fe livery
:
is currently busy with the Lederhose - Neumarkt/Oberpfalz 1,700 tonnes
ballast trains from Niederpöllnitz Anst Lederhose (on property of the TABEG Tanklagerbetriebsgesellschaft mbH) via
Weida, Hof and Nürnberg to Neumarkt (Oberpfalz) Agl. Bögl. On the Frankenwaldrampe (incline)
the train gets a rear helper also in the form of a V170 roundnose. The empty trains run back via Bamberg and Saalfeld.
The operating days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The loco is also used for the ballast trains between Flechtingen and Wahlstedt;

was spare parts donor for the overhaul of the V170 1155 mid 2007 and has been sold to Michael Frick in 2010;

currently stands at Haldensleben;
V170 1138 (ex-DSB MY 1138; NoHAB 2379/1958, REV 23-01-1999) in classical brown DSB livery:

currently stands at Haldensleben and will not be operational any more;

V170 1149 (ex-DSB MY 1149; NoHAB 2600/1964, REV 16-11-2004) in white/red Strabag livery:
currently runs infrastructure trains and stands in Neumünster;
V170 1151 (ex-DSB MY 1151; NoHAB 2602/1965, REV 13-09-2004) in yellow/pink livery:
is out of service and will be sold after an overhaul to Kosovo Railways where it will be transported to in April 2011;
V170 1155 (ex-DSB MY 1155; NoHAB 2606/1965, REV 10-03-1995) in NSB-brown livery after its overhaul mid 2007:
is currently hired to EBS for infrastructure trains between Rüdesheim und Wiesbaden Ost.
