EuroTrac V170 1149 + V170 1147 + oil train from Emmerich (BRD) to Passau (AU) in Praest (BRD) on 28 April 2001


The current locations (status of 23 March 2008) of the ten Strabag (A) owned V170 Nohabs in Germany:

  • V170 1125 (ex-DSB MY 1125; NoHAB 2366/1957, REV 12-12-1998) has a Santa Fe livery:
    rented by Eichholz Verkehr & Logistik GmbH; is currently busy with the Lederhose - Neumarkt/Oberpfalz 1,700 tonnes ballast trains from Niederpöllnitz Anst Lederhose (on property of the TABEG Tanklagerbetriebsgesellschaft mbH) via Weida, Hof and Nürnberg to Neumarkt (Oberpfalz) Agl. Bögl for the next year. On the Frankenwaldrampe (incline) the train gets a rear helper also in the form of a V170 roundnose. The empty trains run back via Bamberg and Saalfeld. The operating days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays;
  • V170 1127 (ex-DSB MY 1127; NoHAB 2368/1957, REV 30-08-1995) in silver with blue cabins livery:
    was spare parts donor for the overhaul of the V170 1155 mid 2007;
  • V170 1131 (ex-DSB MY 1131; NoHAB 2372/1957, REV 11-03-1999) in in green GM livery:
    currently stands at Haldensleben;
  • V170 1138 (ex-DSB MY 1138; NoHAB 2379/1958, REV 23-01-1999) in silver with blue cabins livery:
    currently stands at Haldensleben for a major overhaul;
  • V170 1142 (ex-DSB MY 1142; NoHAB 2383/1958, REV 26-01-1999) in white with red cabins livery:
    currently stands at Haldensleben for a major overhaul and a repaint;
  • V170 1143 (ex-DSB MY 1143; NoHAB 2384/1958, REV 15-03-1999) in classical brown DSB livery:
    currently stands at Haldensleben and will not be operational any more;
  • V170 1147 (ex-DSB MY 1147; NoHAB 2598/1964, REV 13-08-1996) in blue Norwegian GM livery:
    currently stands at Haldensleben for maintenance;
  • V170 1149 (ex-DSB MY 1149; NoHAB 2600/1964, REV 16-11-2004) in blue Eichholz livery with Eichholz transfers on the sides:
    Since 1 March 2005 Eichholz Verkehr & Logistik GmbH;
    currently stands at Haldensleben;;
  • V170 1151 (ex-DSB MY 1151; NoHAB 2602/1965, REV 13-09-2004) in blue Eichholz livery with Eichholz transfers on the sides:
    has been overhauled in Haldensleben (in blue Eichholz livery with Eichholz transfers on the sides (one side has graffiti); current whereabouts unknown;
  • V170 1155 (ex-DSB MY 1155; NoHAB 2606/1965, REV 10-03-1995) in NSB-brown livery after its overhaul mid 2007:
    is currently busy with the Lederhose - Neumarkt/Oberpfalz ballast trains like V170 1125.
