Duisburg Zoo
To us Duisburg Zoo is one of the nearest zoos having koalas. We visited the zoo twice. In this zoo it was the first time ever we saw a koala
drinking water (see pictures below)! The zoo does have a outdoor space for koalas
for the nicest days of the year. Unfortunately we did not see them in that space yet. The koala house is divided into two parts: one for a
male koala, the other for the female koalas and the joeys.
The zoo is well worth a visit because it has quite a number of
animals that are not very common for European zoos to exhibit.
As you can see from the pictures, the koalas were quite active when we had a look! We visited the zoo in the morning.
